postmodernism in practice is a tool to mitigate power. it created a chaotic epistemological moment by deconstructing the fundamental power structures of all institutions from government to truth itself and unbound them from their essentialist properties. once the cultural revolution of the 1960s failed we were left with a world where relativity constrains political action to utopianism and obliterates the possibility of true revolution or even true democracy. by the 1980s reagan harnessed the energy from this failure to fatten right wing elites via deregulation solidifying the transition into global technocapitalism and empowering communications technologies to dominate any and all visions of the future. these tech utopias spring from the marriage of libertarian hippies wall street mega rich frat boys and military industrial power brokers. the ouroboros reinvigorated to prove again that utopia cannot exist without a profit motive .in the sodden ash of these failed experiments communications tech flourishes with web1 web2 web3. sharpening hollywoods and madison aves extractive abilities to absorb once revolutionary thought into the capitalist machine. ushering fantasies of better futures into the dark shadows of neoliberal deceit.  chaos magicians draw their power from this media environment and use its tools to become more powerful. to increase epistemological chaos. to accelerate the impact of technology. to create power vacuums that they can fill. to crystallize the ironic stance of publicity. where fundamentalism is abolished so fully that reality is easily wielded as a weapon. to change. to augment. to uphold. and to construct the new hyper individualist capitalist hero
